Telepathy: An Infinite Potential of the Universal Being or A Delusion of the Ego-Mind - Page 4 Empty Re: Telepathy: An Infinite Potential of the Universal Being or A Delusion of the Ego-Mind

Hey guys! Very Happy

Thanks for all your contributions, your discussions, and your insights which I have carefully analyzed and concisely synthesized into a five-page essay. cheers The following posts are sections of my essay that I think will answer a lot of the later questions that people may have had and the ones that were addressed in the other forums I posted on. (I deliberately separated my essay into many individual posts so that it doesn't hurt your eyes! Laughing ) Have fun reading them! Laughing And if any of you have any more questions about the topic that you wish to bring up, just ask! Smile

Considering the infinite potential that results from the interconnectivity of everything on the nonlocal domain, telepathy seems rather common and natural rather than miraculous. This is so because since we are all connected to the Universal Being, on the essence level, there are no secrets or barriers between human beings and other things. However, the true definition of telepathy is not at all aligned with the pop-culture’s portrayal of the power—with its mind-reading and mind-manipulating superpowers. Telepathy, in its truest aspect, is simply the acknowledgment of everything being a WHOLE in the Universal Unconsciousness, and then using this knowledge to feel essence—everybody’s essence which is thus capturing a message conveyed by someone else’s being.

Yet, in manifesting the essence of another on the physical domain, the words or emotions are often not conveyed in the exact way that the person had thought or felt. This is due to the fact that essence which is energy can be interpreted in many ways with the scientific, classifying approach of language. Embodying essence in words to try to convey the gist of essence can be done with different words; as long as the essence is conveyed and felt by the receiver, this interpretation has been successful. Thus, it becomes evident that telepathy is not a communication of words or direct thoughts but rather, one of essence and experience (like poetry).

There are various methods that can form a telepathic bond between people—all of which include the shutting down of the ego-mind to connect with the Universal Being as it is. Other than meditation which have proven to be a thought-disposer and quieter of the ego-mind as we have seen in class, a good friendship or intimate relationship has also been known to quiet down the ego-mind. This happens because with a real friend, as Emerson says in his essay “Friendship”, “A friend is a person with whom I may be sincere.” This then gives an explanation to why it seems that friends and family members have a telepathic connection more often than amongst strangers—because with friends, the ego-mind is already suppressed, and we feel no need to impress them and thus, we express our true inner being (essence) with each other. With this logic, telepathy and a deep, telepathic connection are reality capable with everyone. All that we must do is suppress the ego-mind into a state of dormancy and just let our essence flow through us.

Even though the ego-mind is quieted, this does not mean that the mind is not involved in the connection of telepathy. In the nonlocal domain, only essence is involved in the interaction of individual’s being and the mingling of each aboriginal self with the Collective Essence. Yet, on the physical domain, where there will actually be physical proof of telepathy, the mind is what is needed to manifest the interconnectivity trait of telepathy on a physical level. This mind, however, as discussed on the various forums, is not the ego-mind that is in constant overdrive and fear; this is simply the mind serving its purest function (the pure mind) of classifying and referring to past experiences to make judgments. With this pure mind, we learn to read people’s body language and emotions (which can be different forms of telepathy or provocations of the Universal Essence to each individual’s essence that have become a common encapsulation of essence, like certain words convey certain connotation or essence). By classifying and referring back to past experiences for guidance, common essence that have been encoded in common body language and other expressions can be understood without the usage of speech, which thus makes it telepathy.

And since essence is ultimately what is being conveyed in telepathy, there is no way to really shut down the telepathic connection or frequency channel that is omnipresent. How can freewill come in the way of telepathy when in reality, we are one WHOLE on he nonlocal domain of pure potential? To deny the interconnectivity of things would be to deny one’s place in the Universal Unconsciousness, and thus, a denial of one’s existence. So, even with strangers whom we have never met before, this interchanging of energy frequencies never ceases to happen. It is because of the ego-mind’s belief of each of us being separate individuals with no relationship whatsoever that causes us to not be able to receive other people’s essence on the physical level. Also preventing our experience of telepathy on the physical plain is our disbelief of interconnectivity and infinite potential. Yet, with the right mindset of infinite potential is possible and regularly being in the laps of the Universal Essence, we will continually be able to bring the potential and the interconnected essence of everyone in the nonlocal domain to the local domain—even when there is hate between two people because when one person has decided to connect with Essence, he or she will begin to feel the essence of the other person, understand that person’s emotions, and dissolve the hate to nothing.

Telepathy: An Infinite Potential of the Universal Being or A Delusion of the Ego-Mind - Page 4 Empty Re: Telepathy: An Infinite Potential of the Universal Being or A Delusion of the Ego-Mind

Therefore, telepathy is simply an extension of intuition, the usage of intuition on a day to day basis. A person on the BrainMeta Forum, Phi, said that “I can see telepathy as a representation of being better in tune with reality.” This is the broadest incorporator of every aspect of telepathy and Emerson’s ideas of interconnectivity Telepathy can only occur when people have delved down to the area of Common Essence or pure potential and acknowledged the interconnectivity and infinite exchange of energy and potential that is endlessly happening. Intuition is spontaneous and unrestricted, and so is telepathy. One feels the essence of others constantly and spontaneously (not only when one wants to because the exchange of energy is always taking place). Thus, like intuition, telepathy requires and is a kind of faith that is not blind. We often have the gut-feeling that something bad is going to happen or that we know exactly what the other person is thinking; this is intuition, this is telepathy. All we have to do is be willing to believe and cleanse our being of the garbage of the ego-mind that is too ego-centric to allow its host (the being) to experience anything as it is.

For those people who have stated that telepathy is merely a delusion of the mind or that it is impossible with the supporting argument that if some people were telepathic then they would have already been witch hunted down and locked away for studies, they looked at the issue with too black and white lenses. Telepathy does not equate superpowers of communicating precise thoughts and manipulating the reality of another person as portrayed by Heroes or any other sci-fi or supernatural stories. Telepathy is a connection with essence on the nonlocal domain, and this is a fact that is indisputable. Even though this connection may not be conspicuous on the physical domain with people’s disbelieving attitudes, it is the gist and essence of the nonlocal domain—interconnectivity that results in infinite possibilities. Thus, for the cynical infidels out there, have a little faith, believe a little. After all, we are what we think, which thus mean that thoughts DO create reality. When we believe in the interconnectivity of everything, we will be able to access the infinite potential that comes from everything and its individual potentials being morphed together into one WHOLE. This infinite potential will thus allow us not only to be telepathic, but also telekinetic, empathetic, etc.

Telepathy: An Infinite Potential of the Universal Being or A Delusion of the Ego-Mind - Page 4 Empty Re: Telepathy: An Infinite Potential of the Universal Being or A Delusion of the Ego-Mind

Post  Fermin Liu Sun May 31, 2009 4:31 pm

In conclusion, telepathy is the true reality of the world of the Supreme Being. It reflects the laws of interconnectivity and is an example of infinite potential that are the basis of Transcendentalist beliefs and the Common Essence. Believing in infinite potential DOES yield results of seemingly miraculous occurrences and powers. From anecdotes that I have read on the other forums, my eyes and mind have been opened to the infinite possibilities of the world. A Mr. Lindsay told me that a friend of his wife recovered from a deadly cancer because she had believed that the spirit (or essence of infinite potential) would guide her doctor and her through a successful and easy surgery. Also, Lindsay had escaped a near accident by telepathically communicating to the driver that almost hit him to “STOP!” Thus, even with many disbelieving people of telepathy in the world, there continue to be many convincing cases of telepathy that resemble a more Emersonian telepathy of interconnectivity rather than the typical, pop-culture telepathy of the science fiction community. Like I have always said, “It is better to believe than not to believe.” Before the airplane was invented or before Neil Armstrong ever took his first steps on the moon, people had thought that inventions and events would never take place. Now, however, we modern people see these technological innovations as the most natural thing in the world. Thus, if we can believe in technology and sciences, why can we not believe in interconnectivity? After all, human relationships and bonds are the core of existence, the end-product of the Supreme Being which is infinity in both presence and potential. With this logic, telepathy or the merging of individual’s beings is the most natural thing in the whole, wide world. 

That's all! Very Happy After reading that, if any of you have more questions or new questions concerning the subject of telepathy, just post them up! As a way to answer your question, Jason, the older threads are not getting many replies if any because each week there are new moderators and new threads that we've to follow as a homework assignment for the class while last week's moderators synthesize the ideas discussed in their threads into an 'essay' and stop being moderators. Smile Yet, even though my work as a moderator is finished and I've produced an 'answer' for my question as seen in my posts above, I don't think that there can ever be an end to discussions about topics like the ones we have here. Laughing Thus, I'll continue to follow up on the topic and if you guys have any questions, just post them up and I will be here to discuss them with you guys. Thank you guys so much! Very Happy

oh wow, that's a large chunk of answer that you have.
Just an incident that happened to me over the weekend about telepathy. I was texting Anita just a few hours ago, and a few hours later when i came back, i was about to pick up my cell phone, Anita replied! It's rather funny. What do you think? Is it telepathy or is it simply a coincidence?

Ivy! Very Happy

Thanks for replying and sharing your anecdote on what seems to be like a case of telepathy. Smile I'm not sure if what happened between you and Anita was really telepathy (some people would say that it was just a coincidence), but that too has happened to me a lot.

As for me, I don't think that was a coincidence. Maybe because Anita and you were both thinking about the message you sent Anita, you guys manifested onto the physical domain proof of the interconnectivity of energy and information on the nonloca domain.

I also have an experience which is really similar to yours, maybe even cooler. One day I was on facebook and on the suggestions bar to the left where they give you people on facebook whom you might know, I saw Henning's name. So I automatically thought about adding him. But then I guess I sort of forgot or something, so in the end, I didn't add him. Yet, when I checked my gmail that night, there was a facebook notification that read, "HJ Shih added you as a friend on Facebook." Obviously, my first reaction was "WTF!?", but now thinking about it, could that have been telepathy too? Laughing Smile Very Happy

Maybe it was, Fiona! Very Happy But if you think about the law of attraction and how our thoughts and the Universe create the realities we want for us, doesn't the Universe manifest what we want in its own way? In a way that will involve the interconnectivity of things which lead to the infinte potential that we all share because without our interconnectedness on the essence level, possibilities will be restricted and each person's potential limited.

And since in our discussions of telepathy, we concluded that telepathy is one of the most natural things in the world because of interconnectivity and our constant exchange of energy, maybe the Universe used the telepathic ability of interconnectivity to manifest what I wanted. Maybe when I thought of adding Henning on facebook, my energy sent that message throughout the vast pool of infinite energy, and since Henning's energy is also part of that energy pool, he got the message. In this way, that would be applying both thoughts create reality (LoA) and telepathy. Very Happy

What happened between Anita and you just happened to me right now! Laughing I was about to talk to Fermi on msn after we've stopped talking for around an hour, and right when I started to type, he sent a message to me. Was that telepathy or a coincidence? Very Happy

that's happened to me before too. i had asked dara if she could do something and then later checked with her to see if she did it. and apparently, i sent that IM to her right after she sent an IM saying that she had done it (though i didnt receive it, for some weird reason). but similar stuff!

oh and this other time, a loooong time ago, back in elementary school, i called my friend and when she picked up and found out it was me, she was like "i had the phone in my hand and was just about to dial your number until the phone rang!"

That was a wonderful evaluation on the subject of telepathy.

For those who are interested, I have a web site on telepathy:
http://www.telepathyacademy.com/

I present concepts and exercises on that topic. I also manage 2 duscussion groups on energy work. The first small group is at the community page. The second group has over 470 members, mostly teens, at the following link:
http://www.telepathyacademy.com/forum/index.php

I was most impressed by the evaluations made throughout this thread. The summary conclusions are excellent. It was a lot of reading for me to scan over being this late to the discussion.

In my material I refer to the ego mind as the conscious awareness and the pure mind as the higher self. I do relate to the group interest on this subject. I think this web site is a wonderful educational tool. I do have a number of telepathic experiences yet I am still learning more and more on this subject every day.

Telepathy: An Infinite Potential of the Universal Being or A Delusion of the Ego-Mind - Page 4 Empty Re: Telepathy: An Infinite Potential of the Universal Being or A Delusion of the Ego-Mind

Post  John Fri Jun 12, 2009 2:34 am

There is a My Story thread at my web site. That describes how I became aware of my telepathic skills. I will re-post that thread in the blog section of this forum.

Since that time I have done telepathic connections with 82 people. I keep a book with names and dates. There are also times when I receive information from another just by listening to how they choose their words in our communication. There is energy in words and thought constructs that goes beyond the obvious.

I am involved with scheduled telepathic connections each week. These sessions involve a connection with another person, an imaginary conversation, and then an exchange of emails that describe our impressions of the telepathic exchange. Last week I had 5 sessions like that. One person is 15, another is 9, a third has not told me her age but her higher self tells me she is younger than I think. Another one is an Associate Professor, Faculty of Arts, Kuwait University and then there is Julie who has been doing this with me for almost 3 years. We have not missed a week during that time.

That is the brief overview about telepathy. My actual first telepathic experience happened when I was age 10. I did not understand how I received some information but I knew it was not a common experience. I intuitive knew I should not broadcast this skill to the world. I did however continue to use this skill throughout my professional career. I did not recognize the skill as telepathy. I just knew stuff. I called them insights for lack of a better explanation.

In my view, we are all telepathic. We just do not realize that we are and we dismiss our good guessing and intuitions as something else.

Thanks for asking!!!

Telepathy: An Infinite Potential of the Universal Being or A Delusion of the Ego-Mind - Page 4 Empty Re: Telepathy: An Infinite Potential of the Universal Being or A Delusion of the Ego-Mind

Post  Nick_A Fri Jun 12, 2009 11:51 pm

I would like to add one thing which cosmology has made me become aware of which is the span between conscious and mechanical life. Telepathy if it exists is an attribute of the conscious mind which we don't have.

Here is an old post of mine describing the transcendent unity of religions where telepathy would be normal. We live at the exoteric level so live in imagination with telepathy as a potential that we do experience in rare flashes.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

"The Transcendent Unity of Religions."

"The Transcendent Unity of Religions" by Frithjof Schuon if true describes the lunacy of religious battle. In short: what value is it for one idiot to call another idiot and idiot in religious matters?

http://www.monasticdialog.com/a.php?id=151

This republication of Schuon’s “superlative” work on the unity of religions has a long, learned and enlightening introduction by Huston Smith, with a helpful diagram making even more precise Schuon’s thesis on the relation between religions

The dividing line is horizontal and occurs only once, rather than the distinction being between the religions themselves. For Schuon, existence—and, therefore, cognition—is graded. Hence, in God at the apex, religions converge; below the line they differ. So, too, religious discernment unites at its apex and divides below it.

Smith compares Schuon’s thesis with others, quoting the author himself in saying that there is “a unity at the heart of religions” that can be “univocally described by none and concretely apprehended by few.” Smith’s introduction concludes with a helpful description of the esoteric and exoteric distinction restated—a key, he says, to the understanding of the whole book. T.S. Eliot said of Schuon’s volume: “I have met with no more impressive work in the comparative study of Oriental and Occidental religion.” From beginning to end, Schuon quotes Muslim and Christian, Hindu and other mystics alike to substantiate his valuable insights. He insists that the unity of the different religions is not only unrealizable on the external level, that of the forms themselves, but ought not to be realized at that level even were this possible, for in that case the revealed forms would be deprived of their sufficient reason. The very fact that they are revealed, he claims, “shows that they are willed by the Divine Word.” He uses the word “transcendent” in the title because it means that the unity of the religious forms must be realized in a purely inward and spiritual way and without prejudice to any particular form. “The antagonisms between these forms no more affect the one universal Truth than the antagonisms between opposing colors affect the transmission of the one uncolored light.”

Here is a diagram that clarifies this idea:

http://www.integralscience.org/unity.html

Notice that at the transcendent level, the traditions converge. but for us at the exoteric level, great differences exist due to the secular devolution into paths of the essence of religion itself.

So if Frithjof Schuon is right, in order for a person to inwardly grow in their "being" as is possible for their tradition, they must become less identified with the exoteric beliefs of their path and enter the esoteric part. But as we know it is more fun to argue and debate philosophy of a path from the exoteric perspective.

But would it be different if mankind collectively knew we were only at a facet of the exoteric level of an incredible truth and all the religious strife comes from not appreciating how far we are from the objective truths of religions that remain at the apex of the unity of paths and completely beyond our comprehension? Perhaps what Simone wrote would be a greater possibility. I doubt it since it just feels to good too fight.

"The combination of these two facts – the longing in the depth of the heart for absolute good, and the power, though only latent, of directing attention and love to a reality beyond the world and of receiving good from it – constitutes a link which attaches every man without exception to that other reality. Whoever recognizes that reality recognizes that link. Because of it, he holds every human being without any exception as something sacred to which he is bound to show respect. This is the only possible motive for universal respect towards all human beings." Simone Weil
